5 Killed in Charter Bus Crash Headed to Pasco

A charter bus carrying 30 people crashed in California this morning killing 5. The bus was on its way from Mexico going through California on the way to Pasco when the crash occurred near the Sacramento area. The bus apparently struck a pole that cut through middle of the bus from the passenger side of the front windshield.

The cause of the accident is not yet known, as it just happened this morning around 7:25am. Rescue teams feel the death toll may rise, as there are still people trapped on the bus. The bus driver, Mario David Vasquez (57 years of age) from Los Angeles has been hospitalized with major injuries. This story will be updated as more information comes in.
