8 Reasons Fall Is Better Than Summer
It's official: summer is over. And while there's a certain sadness that comes with summer's end, autumn has several perks of its own. We took some time to reflect on the things we can do, see, and experience in the fall that make summer green with envy. Take a look at the list and see if you agree! Did we miss anything?
Let's get real, we're not sad to see those crazy-hot days and weeks disappear. And here in the Tri-Cities, autumn is great! Still clear in the skies, but the temps are more tolerable. Hey, we can even bust out a coat from time to time! Just try to snuggle up in a warm blanket with a loved one during summer! NOPE! Gots to wait for fall for that!
High schoo, college, NFL: there's something out football! They say baseball is the American pastime, but I bet to differ. I say it's getting dressed up in your team gear, heading out into the chill of the game, or celebrating in a bar with friends. It's beer, and wings, cheers, boos, wins and losses. Man, we LOVE football!
Yes, summer has its blockbusters, but autumn has the first sightings of Oscar contenders. Not to mention over-the-top horror films to check out first! We get good scares, then some good cries! Win win!
Halloween. Enough said.
Lattes, scones, breads, pies, beers.. if it's got pumpkin, we're all about it! And if pumpkin spice isn't your thing, there's ciders, fall harvest brews, wines, and plenty of other fall-friendly foods that we can't wait to indulge in this crisp time of year!
For fashion people, this is THE time of year. Fall fashion sets the trends for the rest of the year, and the unveiling of the new fall merch at fashion shows is magical! Plus we finally get to bust out accessories again! Bags, scarves, boots, gloves, and the like all get to be worn again. They've missed us as much as we've missed them!
Cliche for a reason. The mystical changing of leaves is beauty to be held every autumn. It never gets old.
THANKSGIVING!! I know you don't want to think about it yet. I mean, we haven't even gotten to Halloween yet. But we LOVE Turkey Day, and welcome its 3 F's every year: food, football, family. Can't have fun like this is the summer!
