One of the main airlines that flies out of Pasco was just found to be 4 times as likely to break down in flight. The announcement comes after a study and investigation by the Tampa Bay Times after finding the airlines was forced to land because of mechanical failure 77 times in 2015 according to reports. 39 of those reports were caused by engine failures and 42 of their 86 planes actually broke down in mid flight.

Authorities point to a pattern of delayed or canceled take-offs because of mechanical failure and a sign. Allegiant Airlines says the delays don't show a safety problem because the delays are from cautious pilots keeping the safety of the passengers first. Allegiant has addressed these concerns with purchasing new Airbus A320's to replace their old broken down fleet.
