Amazing Oregonians Score Gold at the Olympics!
The Pacific Northwest has produced some seriously sensational Olympians! Two incredible athletes brought home medals from Rio back to Oregon! Ashton Eaton won the Gold Medal for Decathlon. A Bend, OR native Ashton went to Univ. of Oregon and currently lives in Portland with his wife who is also an Olympic medalist. She won bronze for her home country of Canada in Women's Pentathlon.
We also have Ryan Crouser, from Boring, OR and alumni of Barlow High School who won the Gold in Shot Put. His Olympic record throw was 22.52 meters! He also still holds the Oregon State record which he's had for 28 years! Way to represent the PNW!!
