Apparently We Have Beavers in Pasco [VIDEO]
My friend Andrew shot and uploaded this video. In the video he asks if this is the work of a muskrat or a beaver, but after doing some research we found it's a question of being a beaver or a nutria. Muskrats are too small for this kind of work. Well, we took the question to the Facebooks, and the good people of Tri-Cities informed us nutria's aren't common around here, and that wide patch cut by the creature is the tell-tale sign of a beaver.
I guess I'm glad nutria's don't live around here because they burrow into dike walls and canals walls and berms. Also, their orange teeth are creepy-looking. But beavers in Pasco? Really? This video was taken by the baseball park near the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter.
