Teenage drivers have more distractions today than ever before. Texting and talking while driving is a major problem, but they can also watch TV and design space ships on that smart phone! So then why are there FEWER accidents now?

That's right, traffic researchers say teen drivers are in fewer accidents, fewer fatal accidents and receive fewer injuries than 10 years prior. Why do you think that is?

  • Driver's Ed has gotten better
  • Cars have gotten safer
  • Kids are more mature
  • Teens are driving less because gas is so expensive
  • Fewer teens are on the road because getting a license has gotten harder
  • Graduated licenses (teens can't drive with friends during the first few months of getting a license)
