Operations are a go and confidence is high as Bluewood opens for ski and snowboard season this Friday, December 14th. Normal operating hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Bluewood forecasters say more fresh snow is coming over the next 48 hours that will add to the 20-inch base and 23-inch summit.

Snow enthusiasts should be on the lookout for new amenities including a warming yurt at the summit and two conveyor lifts that replace the platter pull lift in the beginner area.

Bluewood will be open December 14-16, and then every day except Christmas Day, December 20th through January 1, 2019. In January, Bluewood will be open Wednesdays through Sundays every week and on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 21).

Rentals, food services, retail and lessons will all be offered out of the gate, Skyline Express and Easy Rider lifts are scheduled to run opening day (Triple Nickel lift opening still TBD.)

Plus, from Oregon, GREAT NEWS....

Spout Springs Ski Area is back in business, baby. They need people to work it, they need people to ski it. Four lifts, serving 11 downhill trails and 21 Nordic tracks on 250 skiable acres.
