Our 98.3 The Key intern Trenton Remington collaborated with our co-worker (and resident rock star) Rob Ivey to re-write Echosmith's "Cool Kids" into "Good Kids" -- a song with a great message about helping kids have a special Christmas.

Original lyrics by Trenton Remington:

She wakes up Christmas morning, but she’s not excited
As the other kids running But she’s sits in quiet.
She doesn’t want wait around, only wondering when
She doesn’t want to know that Santa didn’t come again
And she says

I wish that I could be like the good kids
'Cause all the good kids, they all get presents
I wish that I could be like the good kids
Like the good kids

She wonders every year why she wasn’t good enough
Why do all the other kids Get all of this cool stuff
But she thinks maybe if she tries hard and is very good next year
Santa might come for once, and bring her some good cheer

And she says
I wish that I could be like the good kids
'Cause all the good kids, they all get presents
I wish that I could be like the good kids
Like the good kids

I wish that I could be like the good kids
'Cause all the good kids, they all get presents
I wish that I could be like the good kids
Like the good kids

This is something that children actually go through, but it doesn’t have to be. Donate to a local Christmas campaign and bring joy to a child this Holiday season, after all, no one deserves to be sad on Christmas.

And they said
I wish that I could be like the good kids
'Cause all the good kids, they all get presents
I wish that I could be like the good kids
Like the good kids

I wish that I could be like the good kids
'Cause all the good kids, they all get presents
I wish that I could be like the good kids
Like the good kids
