Canadian magazine "Up Here" recently revealed Donald Trump's name and fortune began in Seattle over 100 years ago.

Trump's grandfather Friedrich Drumpf came to America from Germany in 1885.

After moving to Seattle as a young man he changed his name to Fred Trump and opened a restaurant.

He eventually followed the gold rush to the Klondike where he made a fortune running a restaurant feeding hungry and cold miners.

His son, Donald's father, took his inheritance and made millions in New York City real estate. The rest is history.
