Steve Myren is a Morrow County undersheriff. He lives and works in Boardman, Oregon. He bought an Oregon lottery ticket at the Boardman Chevron. Then he was struck by lightning -- in a good way.

The ticket won him $5.5 million!

How will it change him? Myren says he only has two years left until minimum retirement age for the county, so he plans to finish his career!

He's taking the annual payment route instead of the decreased lump sum the state offers to winners. He plans to invest it and spend it wisely over the next 35 years of retirement!

He did buy himself a new truck, but that's been his only splurge.
