In case you haven't been online or watched the news or breathed the air in the Tri-Cities as of late, you may not know that several wild fires are making life more difficult in the Pacific Northwest. Not only are our beautiful forests on fire and the air quality is terrible, but traffic is being affected as well. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced that I-84 is closed indefinitely due to thousands of damaged trees that are in danger of falling on to the highway because of the Eagle Creek fire.

Drivers are being routed to Highway 14 which is causing delays because the two-lane highway just can't handle the amount of traffic 84 can. Drivers are being advised to be patient and plan for extra time traveling between the Portland/Vancouver area to and from Eastern WA. Be patient and take care if you are driving west this weekend!
