Everyone Excited for ‘Gentleman of the Road’ Except Walla Walla Residents

There is a huge music festival coming to the city of Walla Walla and everyone is excited about it except the people of Walla Walla. The "Gentleman of the Road Tour" comes to Walla Walla August 14-15 with huge acts performing on the streets of downtown like the Flaming Lips, Mumford & Sons, and The Foo fighters! The concert is actually downtown and they are shutting down the whole city for the weekend.

Residents are not very happy because first, they really didn't know anything about this event until it was already planned. Reports say they are also angry that tickets are getting sold at a discount by ticket venders, although that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. They think tickets should be cheaper for residents and if anyone gets the discounts then they do. I think they have just as much oppportunity for those cheap tickets as everyone else.

A poll was recently on the union-bulletin website asking what people were most excited for that weekend.

21%--excited to see Foo Fighters

46%--Leaving town!
