Family of 9 Rescued From Yakima River Here’s What Went Wrong
Taking a relaxing family float on a hot summer's day sounds like a great idea right? Well things didn't work out so smoothly for a family of nine who had to be rescued from the Yakima River north of Yakima WA the other day!
According to news reports the raft the family was floating on popped and started sinking! Authorities were able to rescue all nine ages 2- 80 from the Yakima River on Monday but say they are EXTREMELY Lucky!
The raft the family was floating on was large square and made more for a lake because of its single shell design!
BTW the Yakima river is free flowing and wild and should not be taken lightly in fact the Sheriff's Marine Unit encourages anyone interested in floating should give them a call 1st!
