A good reminder to take better care of yourself is four deaths connect to the flu have been reported over the last few weeks according to Benton-Franklin Health officials.

Four Women, ages 40 - 79, have passed away to the flu virus.

Amy Person, a Health Official says "local flu activity is increasing and people should take precautions."

"The flu vaccine is still the best protection we have against influenza and it's not too late to get a flu shot for this year," said Dr. Person. "Everyone over the age of six months should get a flu shot to protect themselves and others.

The women lived in Yakima, Benton and Franklin counties but all passed in Benton Bounty.

The Benton-Franklin Health Department is encouraging people to get flu shots.
