It's the first full weekend of 2018 and there's a bunch of things to check out around the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas. Maybe you're wanting to take it easy this weekend or maybe you want to go big. Either way, there are some fun things to check out for the whole family, or just the adults. Check the list and have a great first weekend of 2018!

PetSmart Meet & Greet- Maybe you need a new furry friend in your family. Mikey's Chance will be having a meet & greet event at Petsmark in Kennewick from 11am-3pm. Get a new fur baby to love!

Beer Choir: Atomic Chapter New Year meeting- If you haven't checked out Beer Choir yet, you definitely should! It's exactly what it sounds like: drink beer and sing songs! Don't worry, they provide the lyrics, and everyone sings togther, so you don't have to worry if you're shy about your voice. It's always a blast! Atomic Brewing, Jan 8th 4-6pm.

Hamiltunes Tri-Cities- If you didn't get enough singing at Beer Choir (or if you just LOVE to sing/Love Hamilton) make sure not to miss Hamiltunes: a Hamilton Sing Along! At the Uptown Theater from 6:30-8. All ages welcome, but there will be alcohol for adults, so use your discretion. The event is free, but Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre is partnering with World Relief Tri-Cities to collect donations. Again, don't worry if you don't know all the words, it will be a fantastic and fun evening!

What Do You Do With a Chance? Storytime- The final book in the award-winning What Do You Do With …? picture book series by bestselling author Kobi Yamada and illustrator Mae Besom, What Do You Do With a Chance? inspires kids of all ages to find the courage to go for the opportunities that come their way. 11 am at Barnes and Nobel in Kennewick.

Saturday Long Run- Come out and join us for 9 miles of fun. For those of us who braved it last week, we got a pleasant surprise of an enjoyable sunny "warm" run. Just like last week will post on Facebook if the weather is sketchy and we need a little more time for the weather to give us a break. But for now looks like a go! See you all there!!

Wine Tasting and Glassblowing- The Glass Punty is teaming up with Ms. Rhoda's Wine Garden to offer a unique art and wine experience!!! Participants will have the opportunity to create their own art glass ornament or float, all while sipping on 2 glasses of wine. This event will take place at The Glass Punty located at 6818 W. Kennewick Ave., Suite D in Kennewick. The Glass Punty will provide a professional glassblower who will work with you to create an ornament or float in the colors of your choice. Ms. Rhoda will be pouring the wine!

Brides 2018- If you're getting married any time soon, you won't want to miss Brides 2018! With hundreds of wedding vendors, two fashion shows, and much more! It's on Sunday,January 7, 2018, 10am to 4pm at The Three Rivers Convention Center, 7016 W. Grandridge Blvd. Kennewick.
