Hozier ‘Take Me to Church’ Video – What’s In the Box? [VIDEO]

If you haven't seen the new Hozier video for "Take Me to Church", watch it below. It will take your breath away. What does it all mean?

If you read the Wikipedia explination of the video, they say that Hozier says " "The song was always about humanity at its most natural, and how that is undermined ceaselessly by religious [organizations] and those who would have us believe they act in its interests. What has been seen growing in Russia is no less than nightmarish, I proposed bringing these themes into the story and Brendan liked the idea.".

At the end of the video, the angry mob burns a cherished box of the main character in the video. I thought they were going to throw him into the fire but they just throw in the box.
