Hollywood gives off the impression that there is a lot of tolerance for racism and homosexulity, but I think that may be an illusion.

The more stories I read about celebrities ranting on Facebook and Twitter, the more I think it is false. Today a story came out about a well known movie producer, John Palermo, ranting about Kanye West on his facebook. He had heard Kanye had bought a mansion in Belair and typed this on his Facebook. "It looks like a Poor Persian Palace, where's Kris Jenner when you need her?! #MoneyCantBuyADumbN****Class"

This is not the first time either. He has made racist and homophobic comments about other celebrities like Anderson Cooper and Julie Chen.

Then I think about the multiple rants from Mel Gibson, Michael Richards, and Alec Baldwin. This is obviously a still a big problem in Hollywood and the world. You would think in a place as mixed as California, things would be different but they are not. It is sad really that people are still driven by fear of what they don't know or understand. I think they all could use a listen or two from Macklemore's album and take notes, but they probably wouldn't hear the message.

Maybe in the next generation right?

Here are a few links of the stories I read to come to my conclusions, do you agree or not?
