You may not be ready for this, but the cold weather is ALREADY on the way! Sure, we're used to things getting chilly, but this soon? Tonight we're going to have our first freeze of the season! That's right, we're getting below freezing in the Tri-Cities tonight, and we've even been issued a severe weather warning! According to weather.com, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning!

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Freeze Warning...which is in effect from 2 AM to 8 AM PDT Thursday. *  TEMPERATURES...Lows will fall into the upper 20s to mid 30s. * TIMING...Temperatures will drop below freezing in some locations after 2 AM. * IMPACTS...A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Agricultural interests should take precautions to protect remaining vulnerable crops and produce. Local gardeners may want to cover frost sensitive plants.

SO make sure you prepare for the cold. Bring the pets inside, think about prep for outdoor plants and gardens, and bundle up! Fall is here and winter is coming...
