If there's one creative outlet that Kanye West has aside from music, it's fashion design. And it looks like he's set to work on his next style project with Adidas.

After telling Hot 97 that he passed on Nike's offer to produce his own shoe due to a royalties issue, West confirmed that he will instead be working with Adidas. Being a Nike fan, the rapper said that he had to look the other way because he's now a family man.

"So the old me, without a daughter, would have taken the Nike deal because I just love Nikes so much," he told Hot 97's Angie Martinez. "But the new me, with a daughter, takes the adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family."

He then revealed more details surrounding his Adidas deal during an interview with Chicago's B96.

"We'll have something in September, but I'm designing women's athletic wear," Kanye told B96 in Chicago. "I'm designing men's athletic wear, we're gonna have my own stand alone stores. People said I wasn't even a rapper and now they can't even put my music into a genre. So before they said I wasn't a fashion designer, so let's see what happens in the next five to 10 years."

While we're not too sure if West will be putting runners and ballers in spacey workout gear and kicks, next fall will be the ultimate test on whether or not he's the cutting edge designer he brags about being.
