The Kennewick Police Department and it's community partners replaced a local families mini van that was stolen and wrecked earlier that day. That van was the only way the family could get their disabled son to Seattle for the medical care he needs. The goup of people that put this together so fast were the department’s Community Cares Fund, Dave Retter of Windermere Tri-Cities and Dwight and Carmen Marquart of Toyota of the Tri-Cities according to reports.

The van was stolen on February 16 and after a police chase and wreck, the van had more damage then it was worth so they found a way to replace it. The families new van is a Suzuki that has four wheel drive that will help them get over Snoqualmie Pass for their son's hospital visits.
