Man Breaks Into House in Ephrata, Then Tries to Rent House for Party
A man pleaded not guilty last week to charges of residential burglary and third-degree theft in Ephrata, but the story is not that simple or boring. According to reports, Sadan E. Perez, 20 of Desert Aire, allegedly rented a house to someone for a party and he did not own the house. On June 19th the homeowner found his front door unlocked and party supplies inside the house. After he looked around, he found the defendant hiding in the garage and he claimed to have been living at the house for multiple days.
Then a woman shows up at the house and want to collect her party supplies. It turns out the Perez had tried to rent the house out to this woman to use for just $100. The woman had no knowledge of the break in and no charges have been filed against her.
