A disgusting case of child abuse is a reminder of parents to be ever vigilant.

Sean Challe was a professional photographer who abused very young children in Kennewick and was given 30 years in prison this week.

Under the pretense of taking portraits Challe gained access to children too young to communicate effectively. Lucky for us, he took pictures of some acts aiding his prosecution. The courts gave him the maximum sentence and called it potentially the worst case of child abuse in Tri-Cities history.

Court records reveal parents were nearby during nearly every episode. The abuse was committed under their noses, so to speak. It's a disturbing reminder for all parents to exercise excellent judgment when leaving children alone with other adults.
