Nelson Mandela Dead at Age 95

The president of South Africa has announced Nelson Mandela is dead. He was 95 years old and living in a suburb of Johannesburg. He was in failing health the last several years suffering from lung infections and other ailments of old age. He is considered the father of modern South Africa and is credited with ending apartheid. His struggle against discrimination and political censorship made him a hero worldwide. He continued to set an example for his party while serving 27 years in prison.
