A report from ESPN today says a group is planning to build a NHL stadium near Seattle in Tukwila. The plans are in early stages, but this isn't the first time this group has tried to bring an NHL team to Seattle. The group,  RLB Holdings Sports and Entertainment, tried to move the Phoenix Coyotes but that deal did not go through.

The group is said to apply for a SEPA application soon, but the most interesting part of the story for me is that two NBA legends are part of the group, Hall of Fame player Bill Russell and past Supersonic player Fred Brown. You would think they would be trying to bring the Sonics back. Strange.
