A mattress that flew out the back of a Pasco man's truck caused and accident early Sunday morning on Fathers Day. Timothy Day was driving east near Cle Emum when his mattress flew out of the back of the truck and rested on the roadway. The driver behind him was Sara J. Kay, who was traveling with one passenger when she swerved to avoid the mattress and drove off the road. She landed in the ditch and flipped the car on its top according to news reports.

Both people in the flipped car were taken to a local hospital and the driver of the truck was cited for having an unsecured load.
