A man who attacked a BMW with a sword while a woman and her daughter were in the car was found guilty in court after a long trial. Reports say Konrad Alden Bass, the man charged, is known around the Portland area as the "High Elf" and is also known to have mental illness.

He was found guilty of first-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and second-degree disorderly conduct and has to serve one and a half years probation, ordered Bass to get mental health treatment, drug- and alcohol treatment and banned him from possessing any weapons, and warned him that if he had another episode he would throw him in jail.

Let's hope this "High Elf" stays away from being so high.
