One problem we have always had with car tires is how to safely and effectively deal with old tires. Well that problem may just very well have been solved. Researchers from The University of British Columbia have developed a new kind of concrete that uses trash with its secret ingredient being tires.

Tires are made with vulcanized rubber which means it can't simply be melted down to be used for something else, it has to be shredded and mixed in with new rubber. The good thing about this new cement mixture is that it can be used in almost anything that needs cement like dams, buildings, roads, and sidewalks!
