Richland Pastor, Brent Johnsen, his wife Kylie, their friends David and Rebecca Magill, their son, Josh, and Dr. Blaine Charette were involved in a serious car accident on the way back from Walla Walla Saturday afternoon. David Magill suffered a broken sternum, but all others didn't suffer any major injuries except for Pastor Johnsen. He suffered some bleeding on the brain, a neck fracture, and they had him in a medically induced coma to ease the injuries. He is currently still in the hospital, but as of yesterday he woke up and though the road may be long, they expect he will recover.

Pastor Johnsen runs Eastlake Tri-Cities, a church out of the Richland Theater and offers a "come as you are" approach to get people interested in church who may not be other wise. He leases the space from the Uptown, and helped bring the once shut down space back to life with art and theater events and shows. There has been an incredible outpouring of love and support on social media. His church and the community at large have rallied around the family, and his guests (the Magills are still in town) to help them during this difficult time.
