A Mabton Junior/Senior High School freshman is trying to improve a local park and Seahawks Doug Baldwin has joined the fight to help. Her name is Kaitlyn Ott and says she was inspired to help her community by attending a "We Day" event to improve her community according to news reports. She decided on trying to raise money to improve a local park in Mabton that is run down. She started a gofundme account to raise $100,000 for new playground equipment.

To help her reach her goal, Ott's mother then contacted Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin and says he was excited to help. They say Baldwin has been helping design the park and pick equipment. He has also donated a number of his touchdown footballs from last season, signed them, and made them available as a raffle for anyone that donates at least $50 to the gofundme account. In the 3 days since it was created, they have raised over $1,600.00.
