Paul Allen showed the world his new airplane designed for launching rockets into space and it happens to have the largest wingspan in the world. The plane called Stratolaunch is 385 feet long and weighs around 500,000 pounds -- longer than an NFL football field. The plane was designed to carry rockets to around 35,000 feet and then drop the rocket like a missile so it can continue its journey to the atmosphere.

The plane has two different cockpits and six different 747 engines to carry another 550,000 into flight. For now the plane has not left the ground but is expected to run test flights soon where the plane was built in the Mojave Air and Space Port. The Stratolaunch is expected to give a demonstration flight in 2019.
