The City of Richland has hired consulting firm, Michael Terrell Landscape Architecture, PLLC (MT-LA), to assist with updating the 2019-2025 Parks & Recreation Master Plan.

Have you visited a park or public facility in Richland and felt like it was missing something? Do you have ideas for new sports or recreation programs? The City is asking you to share your vision for the future of Richland’s parks, trails, recreation programs, and facilities.

The Parks & Recreation Master Plan will help guide the City when making decisions to improve facilities and provide recreation offerings. A series of public meetings have been scheduled and a survey has been established. The first public meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. at the Richland Community Center. Citizens are also encouraged to take the on-line survey by going to www.surveymonkey.com/r/RICHLANDPARKS.

A Parks & Recreation Master Plan encompasses more than just parks, aquatic facilities, and a community center. Parks & Recreation also includes trails, beaches, golf amenities, tennis courts, ORV facilities, skate parks, dog parks, sports fields, and pavilions, along with a wide variety of programs and events.

Please take the online survey and share your vision today!

The survey runs now through January 31, 2019. To learn more about this effort and to view a complete list of public meetings, visit www.ci.richland.wa.us/parksmasterplan.
