One of the best parts of an awards show is the Red Carpet. The anticipation of the arrivals, and that moment when a beloved actor or singer hits the carpet in fashion and glamour that, well, we'll probably never afford. There's something magical about seeing the beauty of celebrities that cannot be denied. Every once in a while a star will wear something to shock or surprise us, but for the ladies, makeup is a staple. Well, not for Alicia Keys.

The Grammy-Winning singer/musician (and coach on TV's The Voice) decided to stop wearing makeup. And even though the star looks incredible without makeup, people were still angered by her decision. This got me thinking, "REALLY!?" Why would anyone be upset about someone choosing not to wear makeup? Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande can be half-naked grinding on stage, but Alicia not wearing makeup is a big deal? Hmmm....

The people upset were mostly saying that she needed to put makeup on to look better, or that she's a fake feminist. Are these people right? Should Alicia put her makeup back on? Or should women be allowed to do whatever they want with their faces? Maybe there are certain times and places for makeup, kind of like a dress code. What do YOU think?
