Snow showers over the Cascades this morning will spread into
eastern Oregon and Washington this afternoon and continue into
this evening. Lowest elevations in the Columbia Basin and Gorge
will likely stay warm enough for only rain showers. Lingering
mountain snow showers will gradually dissipate tomorrow. Snow
accumulations of around 2 to 6 inches in the mountains with
around an inch or less of slushy accumulation for valleys and
basins. The exception being the John Day Basin, Grand Ronde and
Wallowa Valleys, which could receive around 1 to 3 inches.
Nevertheless, holiday travel could be impacted due to slick, snow-
covered roads, especially across mountain passes and summits,
including Interstate 84 and Interstate 90.
