If you are commuting or traveling through Richland starting tomorrow, you should be aware that a few street closures are planned that could disrupt your morning commute.

The City of Richland is advising drivers that the intersection of Swift Blvd and Jadwin will be closed starting Friday January 25th.

The City released a press release explaining the closures and how long we can expect the intersection to be closed.

The south leg of the intersection of Swift Blvd. / Jadwin Ave. intersection will be closed to traffic this Friday, January 25, 2019. This closure is to efficiently and safely complete some underground utility work. The contractor plans to close the road beginning at 7:00 am and anticipates reopening the intersection by the end of the day. However, if work is not complete they will keep it closed through Saturday, January 26, 2019 until completed.

Swift Blvd. (east / west) will remain open during this closure. Jadwin northbound will be closed at Mansfield St. with preferred detours down Knight St. to either George Washington Way or Stevens Drive. Jadwin southbound will be open to the Swift intersection with right (westbound) or left (eastbound) turning movements required.

Through traffic is encouraged to use the detours from Williams Blvd. to George Washington Way or Stevens Drive southbound.
