Two teens have been arrested for stealing over $1,400 of liquor from a Safeway in Ephrata for a house party just outside of town. According to reports, employees of Safeway saw the teens loading up a shopping cart full of alcohol and then running out the front door with it around 1 am on July 12th. The teens loaded up about half of the cart in a silver Honda and drove off, leaving half the cart behind to come back and get later.

Around 2 am the same police department got a report about a large house party just outside of town. The officer located the car and one of the suspects that stole the alcohol who was still wearing the same clothes during the theft. Grant County prosecutors charged the teen found, Devontae D. McDonald, of East Wenatchee, with second-degree theft. the second teen was never found or charged.
