The 5 Worst Sequels to Awesome Original Movies

Donnie Darko was one of the most original films I can think of, but the sequel stunk. It was painfully obvious that they had no intention of making a sequel until the first one blew up on home video. I turned it off before the end, and I never do that.

I remember sitting in the theater during the first Blair Witch Project thinking how great it was. It was an event, the whole theater was screaming and everyone was freaked out. The second movie can barely be called a sequel. It completely ignored everything that made the original great. The only thing similar about the films was the title. There is a reason it has 1 star on Rotten Tomatoes.

I really wanted this movie to be great because I loved the first one so much. The prequel with different actors I don't even count as a movie, but Dumb and Dumber to had the same actors and was made by the same company. It just wasn't the same. Honestly I didn't laugh once in the first half hour.

Look, the first movie was good but I put it on the list because the sequel was just so bad. I honestly think the only reason the first was so good was Jim Carey. Oh yeah, and Camron Diaz in that little red dress wasn't so bad either. None of those things are in the sequel and it should have stayed a "just to home video" flick.

The first Boondock Saints was just plain epic. It is one of my all time favorite movies. If you haven't seen it, you need to TODAY! The sequel is horrible however. Forget it ever existed and just watch the first one.
