The Beards of the Richland Police Department
Richland Police are teaming up with the United Way and participating in the popular "No Shave" event they do every year. Police Officers are allowed to grow a beard for October, November, and December to support. Richland Police have promoted this with pictures and bios of all the officers that have grown beards on their Facebook page.
As part of the city wide fundraising campaign for the United Way, Richland officers have been allowed to partake in the popular “no shave” event. For their contribution to the fundraising campaign, RPD officers are allowed to skip the razor for October, November and December. This year, the officers participating raised $1650.00 to contribute to the campaign. Throughout the next few weeks we are going to introduce you to some of them….. and their beards."
