The Ultimate 4th of July Must-Have Checklist
As we say happy birthday to the greatest country on the planet, it's hard to remember that the amount of fun one has is directly related to how prepared one is. It's easy to forget things when you're packing up the car or stockpiling the fridge, so I have created the ultimate of things you may need, could need, would be nice to have, and MUST have! Take a look, check your list, and this have a great Independence Day!
Have the gallon jugs of water around so people can fill up their bottles. Can't stress this one enough. Juice and other beverages like sports drinks are good too. Oh hand have red Gatorade for that hang over. (THE BEST)
SUNSCREEN. And don't forget to re-apply. You'll still get tan if you have 25-35 sunscreen, so don't mess around and get less trying to get tan because you'll probably just end up with a burn. A bad one.
burgers, buns, hot dogs, ribs, chicken, corn on the cob, watermelon, pineapple, potato salad, macaroni salad, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, mayo, ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, butter, cheese, chips, dips, guacamole, rice beans, fruit salad, ice cream, cake or other sweets, green beans or asparagus, cooling oil, relish, pickles, onions, peppers, propane for grill, charcoal (if needed for your grill), extra charcoal, matches, lighter fluid, over mitts, spatula/cooking utensils, cups, plates, bowls, flatware, decorations.
WATER! Adult beverages, sunscreen, extra shoes (trust me on this one), swimsuit, towels, ladies (makeup, feminine products, even if it's not that time, some girl will thank you),
WATER! Sunscreen! More water and sunscreen. Healthy snacks (fruit and veggies are best), life jackets! Extra clothes and shoes. Hats, hand sanitizer, diapers, extra undies, books/tablets for down time entertainment. Wet wipes, tissues, blankets, towels, water toys, regular toys. Swimsuit.
WATER WATER WATER. Life jacket if pet is going on boat/near water (if your baby needs it, extra food if you're going on a trip, foot balm if walking on hot surfaces. Calming meds or other calming method for fireworks time. Hugs, kisses.
Phone charger, make sure car has oil and gas before leaving, leave bottled water and safety kit in car, sun visor, tires full and leak free, radio and/or music playlist/CDs.
First aid kit, batteries (cell phone chargers), water-proof case for phone, extra shoes, extra clothes, hand lotion, chapstick, towels,
