We're supposed to get 3-5 inches tonight in the Mid Columbia! It's been COLD all week! According to weather cycles, we're due for a BAAAD winter. For today's Throwback Thursday, let's vote on what was the worst winter in recent memory:

From a listener:

I have a newspaper clipping from January 27 1969, that headlines in red, "Season's snowfall is 23 inches." In the article it states "still a long way from the record of 44 inches set in 1915-1916." A January 28, 1969, article says "In 1932 the Columbia River froze over completely, the hardest freeze on record, and froze over again in 1937."
