A mom, her two-year-old, and nieces went to Walmart north of Coeur d'Alene Tuesday to spend gift cards. The boy reached into his mom's purse and accidentally shot her concealed weapon and killed her. Does this change how you feel about guns?

I support people's right to carry and defend themselves. It is a right. And most gun owners are responsible. This story should be about mourning the woman, not fighting about guns. Apparently she was some kind of scientist and a very responsible gun owner.

But this story leaves me with so many questions. I heard the purse was a special design for concealing a gun. This should not have happened. Where was the sheath? Where was the gun's safety?

Bottom line is guns + kids scare me. Why did she need her gun in Walmart?

What are your thoughts?
