Train Derails Near Connell Blocks Roadway Police Investigate

The Connell Police department are investigating what may have caused a train to derail last night and have an update for travelers in the area...

The train flew off the tracks last night at around 5 p.m. four cars 3 of which were carrying liquid gasoline.

The derailment occurred at the RR crossing at the intersection of Adams St. & Clark St. as of about 2 a.m. the area has been cleared for thru traffic. BNSF brought in cranes from Pasco to move the derailed cars back into an upright position.
