A report has been released that shows the amount of students in local High Schools that were suspended because of weapons and most of the news is good. As a whole, the numbers went drastically down when you compare them to the past with Kennewick seeing the biggest drop from last year.

Reports say that Kennewick only had 11 weapons found compared to 35 the year before. Pasco had the most reported with 29 weapons but that was still down by 9 from the past year, and Richland had just one less then Pasco with 28 weapons found. School officials think that the drop is because they think students feel safer in the schools. The Pasco School District's resource officer Curtis King says he thinks it is because of "good presence of community oriented policing and utilizing a good security team within the building".
