I love guacamole. The fresher the better. So when I told a co-worker I was excited to go home and have guac and chips for dinner I was appalled by his response. He asked me if I put mayonnaise in my guacamole. I was HORRIFIED! A. I'd never heard of anyone putting mayo in guac, and B. EWW! So, that night I posed the question to my Facebook friends and the debate was on! Most people said, no but others said it was a Southern thing, or way to keep the guacamole fresher longer. So I decided to try a blind taste test to see which way guacamole is best, and if the mayo version was a gross as I thought it would be. Here's what happened....
