WSU Class Threatens to Fail Students That Use Language ‘Illegal Alien’ or ‘Female’

Two classes at WSU are trying to penalize students for using painful words that they deem hurtful or hateful. The words that are specifically used as examples are "illegal alien" or "immigrent" or even "male" or "female". Some are deducting points while others are threatening to fail the students who use those words.

Do you think this is the right thing we should be teaching students, or is a University supposed to be a place for freedom of expression and free thinking?
