Zillah Man Robs, Beats Ex-GF’s Mom After Break-In

A 19 year old man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriends house and robbing her mom in the middle of the night. That man, Mike Anthony Maldonado is facing charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and second-degree assault according to news reports. Malsonado is accused of breaking into the home of Michelle Zapien wearing a mask, waving a gun around, and demanding jewelry, cash, and drugs. Allegedly Maldonado hit her on the head with the gun while going threw her things in the bedroom.

Police found multiple items of evidence in the house one of which is a baggie that held prescription drugs for Maldonado with his fingerprints on it. Maldonado lived in the house with Zapien and her daughter but moved out over two years ago and the prescription drugs were bought after he moved out. Bail has been set at $25,000 and he will be arraigned Sept 8th.
